Washington Sundar made his international debut in December 2017 at the age of just 18. The spin-bowling all-rounder has played 13 Tests, 23 ODIs, and 54 T20Is so far. He has not been able to cement his place in any format as yet, but opportunities have been few and far between for him. In 66 IPL matches, he has scored 511 runs at an average of 15.97 and a strike rate of 126.18. On the bowling front, he has bagged 39 wickets at an average of 36.82 and conceded runs at an economy rate of 7.70. He was roped in by the Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2025 mega-auction for INR 3.20 crore.

As of 2025, Shreyas Iyer is part of the BCCI’s central contract system, holding a Grade C contract that carries an annual retainer of INR 1 crore. Alongside this, he earns match fees of ₹15 lakh per Test, ₹6 lakh per ODI, and ₹3 lakh per T20I.
