#1 Albus Dumbledore – Sachin Tendulkar
There’s some scope for debate over the other choices in this article, but this is just a no-brainer. The most respected and loved personalities in their respective worlds, Albus Dumbledore and Sachin Tendulkar left an irreplaceable legacy behind.
Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore AKA Albus Dumbledore was the epitome of wisdom and is a character everyone looked up to. Richard Harris played this legendary character in the first two editions and after his sudden demise in 2002, Sir Michael Gambon took over.
If death was the price Dumbledore had to pay to save his people, he would’ve gleefully consented. Something similar can be said about Sachin Tendulkar, who was the heartbeat of the country for over two decades.
He was fiercely protective of his people against the evil that was loitering around and with the elder wand, he was just invincible. Sachin had the ability to convert any of his bats into an elder wand and would demolish the bowling units.
“As long as Dumbledore is there, we’re safe” is the general perception of parents who sent their kids to Hogwarts. It was something similar when Tendulkar was in the middle, “As long as Sachin is there, we’re in the game”.
Whilst Sachin toyed with the bowlers throughout his career, Dumbledore would play with words and delivered some of the most iconic dialogues in the franchise. Cricket can never have another Sachin just the way Hogwarts can never have a principal like Dumbledore.
