The cricketing trends on social media today revolved around Saurashtra’s historic run-chase in the fourth innings to seal the semi-final berth in the Ranji Trophy. Chasing a total in excess of 370, Saurashtra’s batting line-up which had Cheteshwar Pujara in it chased history and achieved the target. While Harvik Desai slammed the century, the likes of Pujara and Sheldon Jackson scored fifty’s as the team will now be aiming for the trophy.
Meanwhile, the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) semifinals took place in Australia on Saturday. The doubleheader proved to be an excellent treat for the fans as both the matches went right down to the wire. Brisbane Heat got out of the jail against the Sydney Thunder thanks to a superwoman catch by Haidee Birkett in the deep as the ball was going into the stands.
There was even more drama in the game between Sydney Sixers led by Ellyse Perry and Melbourne Renegades. The match went into the super over courtesy a scintillating throw from Alyssa Healy and then the Sixers won the game eventually with some excellent bowling by Marizanne Kapp.

11. Gibbs has his say
We lack the variety of a left arm pacer,we have a spinner yes. As a batsman in the opposition it’s easier to prepare knowing you only have right arm bowlers to face majority of the time. Nevermind trying different batsmen. #sscricket
