The cricketing trends on the social media revolved around a number of events and most of them are surrounding the 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), set to get underway on March 23. Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, also a Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) cricketer, posted an adorable picture with a dog. Mayank Agarwal, who’ll play for Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), posted a video from a shoot.
KL Rahul is set to roar for the Punjab-based franchise. Former Indian cricketer Hemang Badani uploaded a video where he can be seen analysing the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), who would be playing their first match in the T20 tournament at the Chepauk against RCB. Carlos Brathwaite was roped in by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for a hefty amount and he is geared up to show his ferocity in the tournament.
Ravindra Jadeja hailed MS Dhoni as an inspiration after seeing the documentary ‘Roar of the Lion’. Darren Sammy congratulated the Asghar Afghan-captained Afghanistan team, who managed to beat Ireland by seven wickets in the one-off Test at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun.
Nepal spin-bowling sensation Sandeep Lamichhane is busy living his life ‘on his sleeve’. Angelo Mathews wished former Sri Lankan cricketer Rangana Herath on his 41st birthday.
