The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Most of the talks were regarding the second day’s play of the third Test between India and England at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. In the first innings, after England were bowled out for 112, India also couldn’t make much of an impact.

The home team, captained by Virat Kohli, were bowled out for 145 runs in their first innings. The hosts were only able to take a slender lead of 33 runs. Barring Rohit Sharma, no other Indian batter could make much of an impact.

Rohit notched 66 runs off 96 balls with the help of 11 fours. He perished to Jack Leach. Once he was trapped in front by Leach, India couldn’t add to their tally of runs. In the meantime, England Test skipper Joe Root picked up five wickets and rocked the Indian batting.

He conceded only eight runs in his 6.2 overs and also bowled three maidens. Hosts went on to win the game by 10 wickets. Former Pakistan cricketer Ramiz Raja is having a tough time restoring his YouTube channel. Manoj Tiwary also reacted after joining TMC for the West Bengal elections.
