As the whole world is currently busy in fighting against COVID-19 outbreak, many prominent names from the cricket fraternity have come forward to help in the battle. Team India veteran Harbhajan Singh, in his attempt to curb COVID-19 outbreak across the nation, raised funds and donated PPE kits in a Mumbai hospital.
The off-spinner was set to don the Chennai Super Kings jersey in the IPL 2020. However, due to the postponement of the tournament, many India stalwarts have come forward and donated in the battle against the coronavirus pandemic. Meanwhile, Harbhajan also shared another tweet in which he rued the pollution caused by the current generation. He shared a picture showing discarded gloves and face masks being dumped in the Mediterranean Sea.
Meanwhile, Team India stars have been spending their quarantine period at home with their respective families. Many players have shared their quarantine photos amid the lockdown. Mayank Agarwal also shared a picture while spending his time at home during the pandemic.
A certain set of cricket stars has also resorted to TikTok and David Warner is the flagbearer. The Australian star shared another hilarious TikTok video to entertain fans during these trying times.
The coronavirus situation is also stern in Sri Lanka and amid this period, former skipper Mahela Jayawardena lauded the initiative by kids who have started a website to support President’s fund in the fight against COVID-19 debacle.
Meanwhile, Tabraiz Shamsi also extended belated birthday wishes to Kagiso Rabada. Shamsi termed Rabada as one of the greatest to have braced the sport while extending wishes to the speedster. Wishes also poured in for Paul Collingwood, who turned 44 on Tuesday.
