The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. David Warner, the Australian cricketer, took the ‘Flick the Switch’ challenge and posted the video on his Tik-Tok account. She performed it with his wife Candice. In the clip, Warner and Candice can be seen exchanging their Aussie cricket jersey and the swimming suit. Yusuf Pathan, the veteran Indian all-rounder, had a haircut from his brother Irfan Pathan and shared a picture of his trimmed hair on Twitter. Kedar Jadhav posted a picture where he nearly reminisced Bollywood actor Salman Khan. Jadhav is a die-hard fan of the actor.

Back in 2016, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers shared a 229-run stand in the match against the Gujarat Lions in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The duo is now planning to sell off a few items from the special day in order to raise funds for the ones affected in the coronavirus pandemic situation. Rohit Sharma, the Indian vice-captain, is missing going out with his daughter Samaira. He also said that he loved spending time with wife Ritika Sajdeh.

Shoaib Akhtar, the Pakistan fast bowler, uploaded his new profile picture on his official Twitter handle. Akhtar recently suggested an India-Pakistan series to raise funds in the COVID fight. Mohammed Shami, the Indian fast bowler, posted a video where he was seen, running to keep himself fit. Manoj Tiwary, the veteran Bengal cricketer, wished her wife Susmita Roy on her birthday. Carlos Brathwaite was impressed with some creative piece of work.

Cricket has given me many incredible memories – and, among the most precious, stands the partnership with @virat.kohli , playing for RCB and against Gujarat Lions in 2016. Everything clicked on what was a truly unforgettable night at the IPL. The capacity crowd at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium were going crazy, and we both scored centuries in a partnership of 229 runs from 96 balls. More importantly, RCB won the match by 144 runs. Now we find ourselves in a global crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, and Virat and I would like to help people in need, people struggling to put food on the table. So we are donating some of the key items from that special day in 2016 – Virat’s bat and gloves, my shirt and bat – and creating one unique auction item, on the Bid or Buy online platform(link in my bio-type key words in the search button to find the piece). All money raised will be donated to charities supporting people most severely affected by the crisis, split 50/50 between charities working in SA and India. Immediately after the auction closes on 10 May, 2020, I will personally contact the winner and make arrangements for the package to be delivered to your home. Take care and stay safe.
