The cricketing trends on social media today revolved around Hashim Amla who announced his retirement from international cricket on Thursday evening. The cricketing fraternity was busy congratulating him on his successful career whole day which also included some of the Indian cricketers. The Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan who is currently in the West Indies also spared time to wish Amla and called him an excellent ambassador of cricket.

Kerala, Karnataka and Maharastra states are currently suffering from severe floods due to incessant rains and even the Indian cricketers realised the same. The likes of Irfan Pathan and Krunal Pandya prayed for the safety of the people in these areas. Suresh Raina, meanwhile, shared the helpline numbers for his followers to make all aware of struggling in the Kerala floods.

The Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) has reached its climax and the former Sri Lankan cricketer Russel Arnold is having a gala time covering the tournament for the Star Sports. He shared a picture with some of the groundsmen in Tirunelveli and also informed that they are from Sri Lanka. Interestingly, Ravi Ashwin also had something to say to Arnold in Tamil and he tweeted about the same.
