The cricketing trends on social media today saw the cricketers from all over the world interact with their followers across platforms. Shoaib Akhtar is celebrating his 43rd birthday today and the cricketing fraternity was busy wishing him on his special day. The likes of Mohammed Shami, Harbhajan Singh and Suryakumar Yadav wished the cricketer who was known as ‘Rawalpindi Express’ during his illustrious international career for Pakistan in the beloved green jersey.

A lot was said about India’s humbling loss at the hands of England at Lord’s. They never came to the terms with the conditions in London which were overcast and unfortunately, in both the innings were exposed under the dark clouds. Many former cricketers were disappointed that the batsmen didn’t even put up a fight as there was a chance of drawing the Test match with a lot of rain around. The third Test will now be a do or die for the visitors in the five-match series.

The world is celebrating the International Left-Handers day and Vinod Kambli was proud of being part of 12% lefties in the World. Even Sachin Tendulkar posted a humorous tweet about the day and he also shed light on how good England bowlers were in the favourable conditions at the Home of Cricket. He also felt that the Indian cricketers should pull up their socks and make a strong comeback in the series.
