The cricketing trends on social media revolved around India’s 72nd Independence Day as the cricketers showered their love for the country. Team India is on their England tour currently playing in the ongoing Test series against the hosts. They hoisted the flag during their stay in London and celebrated the special occasion as the head coach of the team Ravi Shastri shared the pictures of the same on his official Twitter handle. They are set to leave for Nottingham today.

David Lloyd was hoping for some good sunny weather in Nottingham in the upcoming third Test match and hoped for some good days ahead for the openers of India and England. He labelled them as very good players and also praised the bowlers from both the teams who are cashing in on some perfect conditions. While Murali Vijay, KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan have struggled for India, the same story has followed for England in case of Alastair Cook and Keaton Jennings.

A few Pakistan cricketers like Mohammad Hafeez, Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik also wished India on its Independence Day and won the hearts of the fans with their gesture. Tymal Mills, on the other hand, was happy after picking a hat-trick for Sussex the other day against Glamorgan. Rashid Khan was also instrumental in their victory as he returned with the figures of 3/9 in his four overs as Sussex sealed the game by 98 runs while defending a score over 180 in the T20 Blast.
