30-year old Chennai Super Kings batsman Suresh Raina has been drafted into the Indian side for the upcoming T20 international series against Ireland. The southpaw, who features rather predominantly for the Men in Blue was left out following a failue in the much-debated Yo-Yo Test that has taken away the spots of many cricketers in the Indian side, to say the least.

As far as the fitness Test is concerned, it has seen another player swallowed towards a failure. 32-year old Chennai Super Kings batsman Ambati Rayudu had been in simply amazing form in the IPL. In fact, such was his form that he was guaranteed to fill one of the opening slots as the Indians began their quest for T20 supremacy in England. He was named in the squad on the back of some stupendous performances for CSK.

However, the Yo-Yo Test conducted in Bangalore was somethting that took away the spots in the Indian side. Mohammad Shami, following most of his much-covered personal trouble with Hasin Jahan saw him lose out on a place in the Indian side after failing the fitness Test. Youngster Sanju Samson also failed the Test before 32-year old Rayudu also failed the Test.

Incumbent India skipper Virat Kohli has set the fitness standards so high that not many can indeed match him when it comes to supremacy in terms of strenght and endurance. Many have described this as the wolrd-class level of somebody like a Novak Djokovic. And this is something that Kohli does indeed take pride in.

The Indians will first travel to Dublin and Malahide to take on the Irish in a T20I series before making the top down south to England in a prolonged three-month tour.
