Last match result:

As mentioned above, CSK and MI met at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai in the second of IPL 2021. It was a thrilling contest as several momentum shifts were witnessed in the game. MS Dhoni elected to bat after winning the toss but the decision seemed terrible at first. MI pacers ran through CSK’s top order as the likes of Faf du Plessis and Moeen Ali bagged ducks. Nevertheless, young opener Ruturaj Gaikwad scored a 58-ball 88 as CSK posted 156/6.

Chasing the tricky total,  MI lost wickets at regular intervals and never looked in the hunt. Saurabh Tiwary did score a valiant half-century to keep his side in the hunt. However, his efforts could only narrow down the margin of defeat. As a result, the three-time champions walked away with a 20-run triumph.
