Former England skipper Michael Vaughan has joined the voices of many who believe that the Indian side will lift the Champions Trophy 2017. Team India beat Bangladesh in the semi-final encounter to set up the title clash with arch rivals Pakistan. Earlier, the men in green had toppled the tournament favorites and hosts England in the first semi-final of the tournament. Team Pakistan has come a long way in the tournament.

Even the Indian skipper Virat Kohli had lauded the resurgence of the Pakistan team in the tournament. They have come a long way since their first game against the same Indian opposition. India had beaten Pakistan in their tournament opener at Edgbaston by a mammoth margin of 124 runs. After that, the Pakistan team got their act together to beat South Africa and Sri Lanka to make it to the semis.

In the semis, they beat the mighty England to script their fairy tale. The Indian contingent, on the other hand, has had a roller coaster ride. They started on a high with a win over Pakistan and then had a shock defeat against Sri Lanka. They bounced back strong to humiliate South Africa and Bangladesh in their next two games to storm into the finals.

Needless to say, the final is going to be a highly anticipated game. The build up and hype for the game has been huge. English broadcaster and former cricketer Michael Vaughan took to his social media to voice his opinion about the game. On the eve of the big game, Vaughan wrote that he is looking forward to the big game but is sure that India will win the match.

Michael Vaughan tweeted, “Night All .. Time to get some shut eye before tomorrow’s #PAKvIND .. Going to be a belter .. But India will win … #CT17.”
