Dale Steyn released by RCB ahead of IPL 2020

Dale Steyn, who had played just two matches in IPL 2019 before hurting his shoulder, was released by Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of the IPL 2020 auction. A major reason for Steyn being released by RCB was his fitness issues. Steyn had an illustrious career while representing the Proteas in all formats of the game.

The right-arm pacer picked up 196 wickets in ODIs including 3 five-wicket hauls. Steyn also had a phenomenal record in Tests and had 439 scalps in 93 Tests for South Africa.
