Danielle Wyatt calls Rohit Sharma’s century ‘very good’

India beat England in the T20I series on Sunday, which was also their first bilateral series win in the latter’s backyard, and also their sixth consecutive T20I series win. Hitman Rohit Sharma was the standout performer of the concluding T20I at Bristol, as he scored an unbeaten century in a chase. Rohit batted till the end, reaching his hundred off 56 balls to take India home. This was one of the best innings from the batsman, as he made the target of 199 look very easy.

Danielle Wyatt, a star player of the England Women’s Cricket Team, called Rohit Sharma’s performance against England ‘Very Good’. Wyatt, who has always been vocal about being a big fan of skipper Virat Kohli, was left impressed by what was an innings of the highest class by Sharma. After the game, a fan on Twitter asked Wyatt about Rohit’s innings, and the England batswoman said: “very good”

Wyatt’s proposal to Virat Kohli in 2014

In 2014, Danielle Wyatt had openly proposed to Virat Kohli after being impressed by his spectacular knock against South Africa in the T20 World Cup. That same year, the batsman gifted Wyatt a bat during a warm-up game between India and England in Derbyshire.

The England cricketer’s proposal to Kohli was taken quite literally by social media, which thought that love was brewing between the two. “Ten minutes later (after the tweet), I picked my phone up and I’ve got 1000s of favourites and retweets, it’s all over Indian news, they’re emailing my dad at home. When we met, he (father) said: ‘You can’t do things like that on Twitter! They take things seriously!’ I was like, ‘okay. Sorry!,” Wyatt had revealed.

The 27-year-old has played 59 ODIs and 83 T20Is, from which she has 720 and 994 runs respectively. She has also taken 73 international wickets. At the domestic level, she plays for Sussex, and recently, rumour mill had it that she was dating Rashid Khan, who too played for Sussex this season, only a few days ago.
