Dean Jones names the best T20 cricket league in the world

The debate about the best cricket league in the world has been going on for a really long time now. Almost every major cricket playing nation has its own domestic T20 league at the moment. The IPL, BBL, PSL, CPL are some of the most famous leagues in the world and the topic about the best among these always ends up splitting the fans. Although all of these leagues have their own specialities, fans are always interested in terming their favourite league ‘the best’.

Apart from the fans, cricket experts and analysts have also had their say about the best league in the world. Now, former Australian cricketer, Dean Jones has joined the conversation and named the Indian Premier League (IPL) the best in the world. Furthermore, Deano went on to say sarcastically that there is a daylight gap between the IPL and the second best league in the world.

He is one of the busiest commentators and cricket analysts in the circuit at the moment. He has been an integral part of the IPL right since his inception and has seen it all. Deano also lends his voice to leagues like the Tamil Nadu Premier League and Karnataka Premier League. Over the years he has covered almost every cricket league in the world. Hence, it is fair enough to say that the 57-year-old has a good amount of knowledge about the cricket leagues all around the world.

When a Twitter user asked Dean Jones about the best of all the leagues in the world, the Aussie had no hesitations in terming IPL the best. ‘#AskTheExperts Which is the best cricket league according to you @ProfDeano. #KPL2018 #KPL,’ a user named Charan tweeted.

Quite to his surprise, Professor Deano  replied to his tweet and wrote: ‘IPL … daylight second’.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is one of the first of its kind. The league has witnessed eleven seasons being played thus far and has got fans all over the world. The standard of cricket is improving every year and Deano’s statement is a testimony.
