The ongoing pandemic has disrupted the daily routine of a human’s life. With more than 1.5 lakh already deceased, most of the countries are already under lockdown. The situation is similar in India too even as the celebrities, billionaires and cricketers have come forward to help the nation during these tough times. Yuvraj Singh is also one of them who donated Rs 50 lakh to the PM CARES Relief fund earlier this month.

The former India cricketer has once again come up with a heartwarming gesture donating 15000 N95 masks to the healthcare workers in Delhi. Doctors, nurses and other frontline workers across the country have risked their lives treating the patients suffering from the Coronavirus and Yuvraj’s help will definitely help them in their efforts.

He took to Twitter to laud the healthcare professionals for their work during this emergency period and announced about his donation. “Healthcare professionals are the true #heroes in the fight against #Covid_19! Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has appreciated Yuvraj Singh for his generous donation to the state during these tough times. He also cited the cricketer’s victory over Cancer during his playing days as an inspiration for many during this period and also hoped to overcome the ongoing tough time soon.

“Yuvraj ji, Delhi is very grateful to you for this generous contribution. Your remarkable victory over cancer is an inspiration, especially in these times. Together, we shall overcome,” Kejriwal’s tweet read. Yuvraj Singh was also quick in responding to the tweet thanking him for his kind words.

The Indian cricketers have continued to show the way to the citizens of India during this pandemic. While the fraternity have already donated a whopping amount to the PM CARES and respective CM Relief Funds, the players also joined hands to urge the country to be a part of the Team Mask Force by preparing masks at home.
