India fast bowler Siddarth Kaul lived his dream when he got the opportunity to meet Australian great and his idol, Brett Lee. Kaul, who is currently with the Indian team in the UAE as they defend their Asia Cup title, posted a couple of photographs with the Aussie paceman.

Kaul impressed one and all with his ability to bowl at the death during the IPL while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad. He made the leap from the IPL to the Indian Cricket Team and has donned the blue jersey on several occasions now. He wasn’t initially selected for the Asia Cup, but when right-arm pacer Shardul Thakur experienced right hip and groin soreness after the game against Hong Kong, Kaul was brought in as his replacement.

Kaul absolutely elated to meet Lee

Meeting his idol Lee was certainly a dream come true for young Kaul. He took to social media and wrote, “Had an experience of a lifetime today that will stay with me forever as a memory and will never fade away. Meeting your idol and learning from your idol is a dream for everyone and today I got to live one my dreams.

Had the honor of meeting MY IDOL and THE LEGEND. Learned a lot from him and not just about cricket but also about life. Thank you for such an amazing learning experience Binga. You rock and keep rocking. Cheers!”

Kaul was given a game against Afghanistan after India decided to rest its main bowlers. However, he went wicketless in the match, conceding 58 runs off his 9 overs.

The pacer made his international debut in June this year when India were up against Ireland in Dublin in a T20I series. Shortly after that, he made his first appearance in one-day internationals against England. He’s claimed 3 wickets at the international level, all of which have come in T20Is.
