The Indian team is preparing for the second Test against West Indies that starts later tonight. Virat Kohli & Co. was completely dominant in the first Test and won the game by an innings and 92 runs their biggest margin of victory outside the subcontinent. Virat has now led India in 11 Tests and the team has won six of them. There is certainly a change in approach with aggression being the key word.

Former Indian skipper, Sourav Ganguly was asked how he views the two skippers while talking to India Today he said, “They (Kohli and Dhoni) are different personalities on the field. It’s too early to compare the two. Maybe Kohli will win it 2-0 or 4-0; we don’t know yet. Dhoni also won the series the last time (2011),”

He said that Virat will be tested when the team tours England, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand the overseas tours where India hasn’t done really well in the past. He also praised the Test skipper’s attitude and said that he is the right man to lead the Indian team in the future.

“Kohli brings people to the ground. He is one of my favourites. I like it when he says that it’s time to deliver in Test cricket and that this is no time to learn. He is a spectator’s delight.”

The home team was pretty ordinary in the first game and couldn’t pose a real challenge to the Indian team. According to Ganguly, it is pace that can give them the advantage and should look to play to their strength.

“West Indies will need to get in pace. Leaving grass is not a solution. They need to play a genuine pacer if they are leaving grass on the wicket. I would play Joseph,” he said.
