Indian team is all set to take on England in the three-match T20I series starting from third of July. The dominant Virat Kohli-led team India clean swept Ireland 2-0 in the two-match T20I series. Team India will next play three-match ODI series and five-match Test series after the completion of T20I series.

However, according to latest developments, England has been forced to make a change in their strong T20I squad. Their young pacer Tom Curran has been suffering from side-strain and he is expected to be fit for the second and third T20Is. Dawid Malan will act as Tom Curran’s cover in the first T20I in Manchester.

England look favourites

World-class England outfit will take on India on the back of the dominant victories against under-performing Australia in both ODI series and lone T20I. Aussies were no match against the World No.1 ODI side as they lost the five-match series 0-5. The Aaron Finch-led T20I side also lost the game by 28 runs.

The English side will miss the services of Ben Stokes and Chris Woakes in the upcoming T20I series. However, Stokes will be a part of the three-match ODI series. With Alex Hales, Jason Roy, Jos Buttler in red-hot form, England aim to dominate the immovable Indian side. But, Indian team boasts of wrist spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav. The spin duo has the ability to spin the ball on any turf and pose a huge threat to England side.

Here’s the updated squad for first T20I against India: Eoin Morgan(c), Moeen Ali, Jonny Bairstow, Jake Ball, Jos Buttler, Sam Curran, Dawid Malan (Cover for Tom Curran), Alex Hales, Chris Jordan, Liam Plunkett, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Jason Roy, David Willey.
