England once again levelled the series as they defeated India by a huge 86-run margin at the Lord’s to take the series to the decider at Leeds. After an interesting decision to bat first, England posted 322/7 as Joe Root returned to form scoring a century batting through the innings. India’s opening pair added 49 runs before they lost three wickets in three overs. This pushed India into a defensive shell and the tight bowling from the England spinners ensured that they never bounced back.
