The Headingley ground in Leeds is one of a high scoring venue and the average first innings total here in the five completed ODI matches since 2011 is 298. The trend has continued this season as well and three sides made 320+ scores in the four List A matches this year. Leeds has often helped the spinners as the match progresses and India would surely want to exploit that with the Kuldeep-Chahal duo.

India could use Suresh Raina as an extra spinner for this game in place of a specialist batsman. If India bat first, they can even bring in Axar Patel ahead of Raina who was pretty good with the ball during the recently concluded ‘A’ team Tri-Series. If that happens, Pandya and Axar bat at No.6 and No.7 respectively which can narrow down the strength of their batting line-up.

Predicted India XI: Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli (C), MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina/Axar Patel, Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav.
