The T20I series decider between England and India is currently underway. On a belter of a pitch for batting, England have got off to a great start in the game. After being put into bat first, Jos Buttler and Jason Roy provided the side with an ideal start. All the English batsmen kept going hard at the Indian bowlers and India could have missed a trick by not fielding Kuldeep Yadav in the XI.

England put up a huge total on the board and we’ve got a great game in our hands. India will be looking to chase the target down and win the series. However, they will have to keep their calm to accomplish the chase. Apart from the cricketing action, team India was hit with another blow.

Yuzvendra Chahal bangs his head to the ground while attempting to catch a ball

Yuzvendra Chahal, who has been one of India’s first choice spinners in the recent times was injured in this game. Just after he completed his spell of 4 overs, Chahal got injured. It was the 14th over of the game. Hardik Pandya was bowling and England’s skipper Eoin Morgan tried to loft one over the boundaries.

However, he ended up mistiming the delivery as it went up miles in the air. Chahal who was fielding at the extra-cover region went after the ball to take the catch. He was back-tracking the ball and all of a sudden realised that the ball was going over his head. However, he still tried to reverse-cup his hands to take the catch. But, quite unfortunately, he ended up losing his balance and fell awkwardly on the ground.

Chahal banged his head hard into the ground and immediately looked in severe discomfort. He was seen holding his head and was in extreme pain. He also walked off the field immediately and seemed to be quite troubled. The intensity of the injury is not known as yet and India will be hoping for him to recover soon. It will be a huge blow if in case he misses out on the action in the ODI series starting July 12. In the 4 overs that he bowled earlier, Chahal conceded 30 runs and went wicketless.
