Mohammad Kaif is a regular user of social micro-blogging website Twitter. He has been involved in controversies but that has not stopped him from sharing his views and ideologies. He was pulled up by a lot of extremist people for posting a picture of him doing Surya Namaskar and for playing chess with his own son.

Kaif lands in a soup, again

In a recent development, fans have rebuked the former India international of wishing people on Raksha Bandhan. Some users on Twitter went to the extent of saying that a fatwa will be issued under his name soon for wishing people on this festival. The mentally of some people is filled with utter nonsense as Kaif only wanted to wish his followers on a special festival which bonds brothers and sisters. He also posted a beautiful message: “Treat every woman the way you would want your sister to be treated. #RakshaBandhan greetings to all,” Kaif had tweeted.

Kaif, in the past, has stood up for Mohammad Shami when some Islam preachers criticized him for posting pictures of his wife on social media. The same issue was raised when Kaif’s former India teammate Irfan Pathan did the same. The mindset of these people is very questionable as they have a problem with celebrities posting a harmless and decent picture with their wife.

Kaif will always be remembered for Lord’s heroics

In a 6-year career, Kaif represented India in only 13 Tests, making 624 runs at 32.84. His highest score of 148* came in his last series for India in the whites. Besides that hundred, the right-hander has 3 fifties to his name.

Kaif had a far better career in ODIs as he went on to play 125 games for India. In these games, he amassed 2753 runs at 32.01 which included 2 hundreds and 7 fifties. The 36-year old will always be remembered for his 87* at the Lord’s Stadium which helped India beat England famously in the NatWest Trophy final in July 2002.
