Team India skipper Rohit Sharma certainly won a lot of hearts with his herculean batting display in the Indore T20I against Sri Lanka. Batting first, team India posted a mammoth 260/5 in their stipulated 20 overs. They managed to register their highest T20I total ever kudos to a fine ton from skipper Rohit. Also, the knock played by KL Rahul was equally important from the perspective of the game.

While the knock that Rohit Sharma played was bound to win the hearts of many, the Indian skipper managed to overawe the fans with another gesture soon after his departure. Yes, you read it right. It might sound absurd as how could Rohit please the fans after getting out. But, the catch remains in the fact that he made a gesture to the dressing room to get the fans back alive on their feet.

The action perspired in the 13th over of the match after Rohit Sharma ended up edging one to the gully fielder. He had already smashed a quickfire ton and India sat comfortably at 165 at that stage of the game. While he was heading back to the pavilion, team India head coach Ravi Shastri was seen asking Rohit who should get in as the next batsman.

It was right then that Rohit showed faith in former Indian skipper MS Dhoni. He gestured as a wicketkeeper to indicate that Dhoni should be coming in at number three. This happened after a long time that Dhoni batted at that position. He did not disappoint either as he hit an unbeaten 28 with two fours and two sixes.

The fans went gaga over the gesture and the video of the entire episode is going viral on the social media. Commenting on Rohit’s knock, he hit 118 off just 43 deliveries with 12 fours and 10 sixes. Rohit smashed the fastest T20I ton. Well, for now, his gesture for Dhoni, the man who had bestowed Rohit with the opening slot years ago, is winning the internet.
