Pitch Report

The pitch at Melbourne Cricket Ground offers a balanced surface for both batters and bowlers. The pacers are likely to dominate with the new ball as fans witnessed in the last Boxing Day match here. Batters are likely to score a good amount of runs when the ball gets old.

Alex Carey

AUS | WK

The experienced Australian wicketkeeper-batter scored 22 runs in the first innings and didn't get a chance to bat in the second. He has struggled for the big knocks across formats lately and should be avoided for the Dream11 selection for this fixture.

Keshav Maharaj

SA | BOWL

The veteran South African spinner bowled only two overs across two innings in the first Test match and is unlikely to make any impact at the pace-friendly MCG pitch.
