Birmingham Phoenix Women had squared off against Northern Superchargers Women in their last encounter, where Superchargers won the toss, and they elected to field. Phoenix started well, and the openers were looking in good touch, but as soon as they fell, more wickets followed, and they could only make 118 runs by the end of the innings. Superchargers made an even better start and were easily cruising ahead towards the target. They won the match by seven wickets with 22 balls to spare.

Trent Rockets Women had played against Southern Brave Women in their last match, where Trent Rockets had won the toss and decided to field. Brave were off to a brilliant start as Smriti Mandhana looked to have a good day on the field. She smashed every bowler around and was given good support by her teammates, and as a result, they smashed 157 runs on the board. In reply, the Rockets did not start well. Captain Brunt did play a good innings but lacked support from the other end and eventually lost the match by 27 runs.
