India wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik has taken the commentary by storm by being accurate, precise, and humorous. Be it to describe match situations, or taking sly digs at Nasser Hussain, or Rob Key, the 36-year-old has brought freshness and energy into the commentary box. Currently, he is doing the press duties for England and India Test series.

He recently interviewed India skipper Virat Kohli ahead of the first Test match, in which the captain shed light on his personal life and also how strongly he came back after the 2014 dismal horror series against England.

Now, Karthik is back and this time the fans will get to see opener Rohit Sharma being interviewed. It’s a well-documented fact that Sharma and DK, as he is fondly called by his peers, share a great rapport and are best of friends. The wicketkeeper-batter opened up on how he was there with Sharma when he made his international debut during the ICC T20 World Cup 2007.

Karthik further revealed how Sharma has evolved as a person after marrying Ritika Sajdeh in 2015. The 36-year-old said about how the opening batter would cry after watching movies like Sooryavansham and now how his taste has improved after watching various English sitcoms.

“Before marrying Ritika, Rohit Sharma was somebody who would cry looking at movies like Sooryavansham. After marriage, you now watch Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, How I Met Your Mother. Tell me a little about this,” Karthik asked Rohit.

“Who told you that? Yes, it has changed,” Rohit told Karthik.

Sharma would be seen in action in the second Test match against England starting on Thursday at the Lord’s Cricket Stadium. The right-hand batter looked in decent touch in the first innings while scoring 36 runs before he got out to Ollie Robinson.

“A sneak peek into the interview with @ImRo45 . Will be out tomorrow during the 2nd #ENGvIND Test. P.S. Sorry Sham for revealing all those secrets about you,” tweeted DK while posting the teaser of the interview.
