'Get a life' - Dodda Ganesh lashes out at trolls for linking Sourav Ganguly's heart attack with his cooking oil Advertisement

Former India cricketer Dodda Ganesh has lashed out at online trolls for targetting BCCI president Sourav Ganguly after the latter suffered a heart attack. The former India skipper had to be admitted to Woodlands hospital in Kolkata on Saturday after he complained of chest pain, the heaviness of the head, vomiting, and a spell of dizziness while exercising on his treadmill.

Later, in the day he underwent angioplasty. Wishes have been pouring in from all the corners of the country ever since Ganguly suffered the heart attack. Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked to Ganguly and wished him a speedy recovery. Before that, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar also visited Ganguly in the hospital on Saturday to enquire about his health.

The cricketing fraternity also made sure to wish Ganguly a speedy recovery. Players from past and present as well as the fans took to social media to wish Ganguly. The likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and other legendary cricketers led the wishes for the former India batsman.

Dodda Ganesh slams trolls

While Sourav Ganguly has been receiving wishes from all the corners, few trolls have used the opportunity to take a shot at him. Following his heart attack, the trolls had drawn attention to the fact that Ganguly had advertised for a cooking oil brand that claimed to help keep the heart healthy and not cause any major health issues.

Disturbed with the trolls’ posts, Dodda Ganesh took to Twitter to hit out at them. The former cricketer asked them to ‘get a life’ as he stated that a heart attack can happen to anyone. Ganesh also made sure to remind the trolls that no cooking oil can actually guarantee anyone a good and healthy heart as he wrote:

“No cooking oil can guarantee you a good healthy heart. People who’re using @SGanguly99’s present medical condition to take the mickey out of him and drawing pleasure, need to get a life. A heart attack can happen to anyone. Period #SouravGanguly.”
