The co-owner of the Punjab Kings (PBKS) side, Preity Zinta showered praises on the Mumbai Indians (MI) contingent for their conduct in the 2022 IPL mega auction. With Covid-19 still lurking around, following the protocols laid down is of paramount importance.
And, Zinta was impressed with the MI contingent for following all the Covid-19 protocols. Zinta also added that Nita Ambani has got pretty eyes as well.

Mumbai Indians splurge a massive sum to get Ishan Kishan on board
Both the Punjab Kings (PBKS) and the Mumbai Indians (MI) spent a massive amount of money on Day 1 of the IPL mega auction to strengthen their respective squads. The Mumbai side spent a whopping sum of INR 15.25 Crore to procure Ishan Kishan.
They also spent INR 3 Crore to get Dewald Brevis on board as well. The Punjab Kings also spent a massive amount to procure 2 batters. While they spent INR 8.25 Crore to get Shikhar Dhawan’s services, they spent another INR 6.75 Crore to buy Jonny Bairstow.
Another INR 9.25 Crore was spent by the Kings to buy South African pacer Kagiso Rabada, while the Kings splashed another INR 9 Crore to get the services of all-rounder Shah Rukh Khan. They also spent INR 5.25 Crore and INR 3.8 Crore to buy Rahul Chahar and left-arm spinner, Harpreet Brar, respectively.
Ahead of the IPL auction, the Mumbai Indians (MI) had retained 4 players, while the Punjab Kings (PBKS) had opted to retain just 2 players. While Mumbai had retained their skipper Rohit Sharma, pacer Jasprit Bumrah, batter Suryakumar Yadav and all-rounder Kieron Pollard, the Punjab side had retained opening batter Mayank Agarwal and left-arm seamer Arshdeep Singh. Day 2 of the IPL mega auction will be held on 13th February 2022 and all the teams will look to finalise their squads ahead of the 15th edition of the IPL.
