The Zimbabwe Cricket Team proved why you cannot rule out any team in cricket, as they created history beating hosts Sri Lanka by three wickets in the final one-day international at Hambantota. This win was sweet for the visitors for two reasons. It was their first overseas win in eight years, and also, their first series win over the Islanders. After Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to field, off-spinner Sikandar Raza claimed three wickets to restrict Sri Lanka to 203/8. Raza also played a key part in the chase with his significant 27* as his side won the game with 71 balls to spare.
And as if that loss was not humiliating enough, the stadium authorities at Hambantota have another question to answer. In a video that has been circulating on Twitter, the ground staff at the stadium had to leave the venue nearly naked because the officials wanted the pants back. As per the officials, the pants worn by the ground staff was exclusive to the workers in the stadium, and not meant to be worn by the ground staff, especially since the stadium was virtually shut down for the past two years and there was no permanent ground staff during that period.
The video was shared by a BBC journalist on Twitter who captioned it saying, “Hambanthota ground staff had to leave the ground literally naked after Officials wanted their pants back” it shows the ground staff leaving the stadium without their pants on, was also re-shared by former cricketer and captain of the Sri Lankan team, Mahela Jayawardene.
Literally nearly stripping them naked-is this the disgraceful way @DayasiriJ & @OfficialSLC treat workers?! #SriLanka pic.twitter.com/e853hc0IYU

Such kind of a scene outside a cricket stadium was one of its kind, and perhaps the association at the stadium could have waited until the pants were returned instead of the ground staff leaving the stadiums without wearing a pant at all.
