The Coronavirus pandemic has left the cricketers across the world with no option but resort to social media to keep themselves busy. India is under a 21-day lockdown which will end on April 14 and even the cricketers in the country are staying with their families during this period. Like many others, even Hanuma Vihari decided to conduct a Q&A session to interact with his fans and answered a few interesting questions.
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are the two Football players who are regarded as the best in the world. Moreover, the fans of both the players keep asking the question of their favourite Footballer to even the cricketers. In an interaction with Kevin Pietersen, even Virat Kohli was asked to pick one between them and the Indian skipper had gone for Ronaldo.
No wonder that Hanuma Vihari was asked a similar question by a fan. Interestingly, he wasn’t asked to pick anyone between the two and the fan asked him to just name his favourite Football player. And the batsman from Andhra picked Argentina legend Lionel Messi.
Here’s his tweet:

Hanuma Vihari hasn’t played a game since New Zealand Tests
Hanuma Vihari was last seen in action for India during the New Zealand Test series which they lost by 2-0. He didn’t have a memorable outing in the Kiwi land though as Vihari could only notch up a solitary half-century in four innings. India’s batting overall was found wanting in testing conditions. Hanuma Vihari scored 86 runs at an average of 21.5 in two Tests and will be hoping to do better the next time he travels the country.
As far as his Test career is concerned, the 26-year-old has played nine matches in the longest form of the game for India and has scored 552 runs at an average of 36.80. Vihari has notched up four half-centuries and a century. With T20 World Cup to be played later this year, India weren’t slated to play any Test cricket until Australia tour. And Vihari would be looking to prepare himself for the tour down under as soon as the Coronavirus pandemic subsides.
