At a time when coronavirus outbreak is taking a toll on cricket, Sanjay Manjrekar’s sacking from BCCI’s commentary panel has become the talk of the town. Earlier this week, the BCCI reportedly axed the controversial commentator from its commentary panel before the now-suspended ODI series between India and South Africa started.

Manjrekar was not in Dharamsala for the first ODI which was washed out before the BCCI called off the series in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak. As per reports, the former India batsman will also not be a part of the commentary panel for the IPL this year. The fans, however, are delighted with the sacking and are taking to Twitter to express their feelings.

Most of the fans made it clear that they were happy to see Manjrekar being sacked and their reaction to Ravindra Jadeja’s latest tweet pretty much proved it. The fans were referring to the incident between Jadeja and Manjrekar that took place last year as they hilariously trolled Manjrekar on Jadeja’s tweet. It all started when Jadeja took to the social media platform to ask his followers and fans to remain safe.

“Urging everyone to stay safe, follow the precautionary measures suggested by the health authorities and in this difficult moment let’s support each other. #coronavirus #COVID19,” wrote Jadeja.

As soon as Jadeja posted the tweet, the fans hilariously pinned the blame on him for Manjrekar’s sacking. Last year, a big controversy took place at the World Cup because of Manjrekar’s baffling comments. The outspoken commentator had called Jadeja ‘bits and pieces’ cricketer as the all-rounder was struggling to get a chance in the playing eleven.

Jadeja did not take that comment kindly and hit back at Manjrekar by coming up with a sensational performance against New Zealand in the semi-final. He scored a valiant 77 and nearly took India over the line. During the course of his knock, he had directed his celebration towards the media box after reaching his fifty.

And thus when Manjrekar was sacked by the BCCI, the fans hilariously claimed that Jadeja was the reason behind it. Here are some of their reactions to Jadeja’s tweet.
