He was once India’s lethal bowler across formats. However, his days also went by though Harbhajan Singh, popularly called ‘Turbanator’, hasn’t yet called it quits. The 38-year-old recently appeared on a chat show with actress Neha Dhupia named ‘No Filter Neha’ and spoke on a plethora of issues – from his career to other secrets of his life. The ace off-spinner, however, had a special message for the first couple of Indian cricket – Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma.
Virushka will observe the first anniversary of their wedding in Australia on December 11. The two got hitched in Tuscany, Italy, in a grand ceremony last year after years of courtship. Harbhajan himself is also married to England-born actor Geeta Basra since 2015 and the duo has a girl.
The Punjab cricketer came up with a quick tip for the ‘Virushka’ couple – one of India’s role models, asking them to support each other in all situations. “There will be tough times in marriage, So, stay with each other, bear with each other, of course, it is gonna get better the more you understand each other,” Harbhajan said, addressing Virat and Anushka.

On the show, Bhajji also had messages for other celebrity couples like Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik as well as Zaheer Khan and Sagarika Ghatge. While he advised the Indo-Pak couple to spend more time together, he jokingly asked Zaheer and Sagarika to do the opposite.
Harbhajan, who made his international debut two decades ago, has taken over 700 wickets. His last appearance for India was in March 2016 in a T20I against the UAE. A member of India’s world title-winning squads in 2007 and 2011, Harbhajan still plays in the Indian Premier League though for a new franchise – Chennai Super Kings.
He also dons the mantle of commentator at times when India play international games. He played first-class cricket till last year and decided to play for home state Punjab in this year’s Ranji Trophy.
