The Chennai Super Kings had a dream run in the 2018 edition of the IPL. They were the most consistent side in the competition and they ended up lifting their third IPL title. MS Dhoni led the team from the front as the other veterans like Shane Watson, Harbhajan Singh, Dwayne Bravo, Faf du Plessis and Ambati Rayudu stepped up to the occasion as well in the various fixtures.

When the team is winning, the mood in the camp is bound to be light. During the course of the tournament, a web show was launched under the title of ‘Bhajji Blast’. Veteran Indian offie Harbhajan Singh hosted the various episodes of the web show.

In the episode when Bhajji hosted former Australian cricketer Shane Watson, the two cricketers managed to share a lot of jokes on the show. The prime targets that the two cricketers had during the show in their conversation were Shahid Afridi and Yuvraj Singh. Both Harbhajan and Watson took turns to troll Yuvraj and Afridi over being ‘youngsters’ forever.

Youngsters forever

The conversation started when Harbhajan Singh started narrating his experiences against Australia in the early part of his career. It was series against Australia in 2001 that set the ideal launching of Harbhajan at the highest stage. Watson asked him about his age when he played that series. Harbhajan responded, “18”.

Watson cheekily replied if that was his birth age or his cricket age. Harbhajan could not control his laughter and ended up bringing Afridi in the discussion by asking, Watson whether he spent a lot of time with Shahid Afridi? A very witty Shane Watson replied “he has been 36 for about 7 years. That’s a great effort.”

Later, Bhajji managed to troll Yuvraj as well. He cited that he has played all age group cricket with Yuvraj. While he got older with time, Yuvraj kept getting younger. “Me and Yuvraj, we played together U-14, U-16 than U-19. I got overage and Yuvraj still continued to play,” Harbhajan quoted.
