Popular sports broadcasting channel Star Sports came under some criticism and was subject to heavy trolls in the social media space for the non-coverage of the on-going 3rd Test between England v Pakistan. The Test, which is currently underway in Birmingham, has no television coverage due to the scheduling conflict.

The Sports channel has acquired the rights to telecast and is the official broadcaster of the Rio Olympics in India. Owing to this reason, they are not in a situation to telecast not only this game but entire remainder of the England-Pakistan series.

But, all said, many of the Indian cricket fans who were eagerly following the matches were surprised to see no telecast. Sky Sports, which is currently broadcasting the game in England, has no presence in India.

The reaction of it was visible on Twitter where fans outraged over the unavailability of the game. Some were angry while some opted with the weapon of sarcasm to mock the channel. One hilarious attempt was made by the parody account of India all-rounder Hardik Pandya.

The fake account tweeted enquiring Start Sports Twitter handle about the live telecast. The fakester also tagged rivals Ten Sports and Sony Six in the tweet as well.

Star Sports genuinely replied with the reason for the unavailability, saying that the inconvenience to the viewers was due to a scheduling conflict. It later went on to give a suggestion that the 3rd Test was only available on Starsports.com, Hot star & the app.

The Fake Pandya don’t seem to be amused and immediately replied with a pinch of salt, asking them to recharge his number with a good 3G internet plan.
