The Indian Premier League has been the most lucrative cricket tournament after the World Cup. IPL is well known for providing a huge platform for any player to showcase his skills on the best stage. The likes of Virat Kohli, David Warner, and Rohit Sharma became modern-day giants. But, they started by performing exceedingly well in the IPL. To be very honest, no league in the world comes close to the IPL.

Apart from the players, another aspect that attracts a wide range of attention is the price tag. Players receive a humongous amount for playing in the leagues. This sometimes adds an extra burden on the players as they fail to perform as per the expectations. Well, this is what IPL is all about, handling the pressure.

There is one sector that most of the fans often overlook in the IPL. The coaching staff, which is the backbone of the team. Well, the IPL coaching is way different than the international coaching experience. How about assigning the coaching duties of a franchise to a World Cup-winning coach? This is the idea that Sunrisers Hyderabad took up as they assigned Trevor Bayliss as their head coach. The Australian cricket coach was very successful with the English squad. He played a vital role in managing the English team that won the World Cup.

After England was thrashed out of the 2015 World Cup, Trevor and Captain Morgan started to build a world-dominating squad. With multiple match winners, they were able to hold on to their nerves during the 2019 World Cup Final. Bayliss has a plethora of coaching experience as he has been the head coach of multiple national teams. This time, he leads an experienced coaching staff.

He replaced Tom Moody, who coached the Sunriers to an IPL triumph in 2016. With multiple changes occurring in the SRH squad, Bayliss has a vital job in reviving the SRH camp as they are at the bottom of the table. Currently, he is being paid 2.25 crores for coaching the Hyderabad-based franchise.
