A video of former England women’s team cricketer Isa Guha asking a ‘double-meaning’ question in the commentary box has gone viral. It was a Big Bash League (BBL) game when a discussion on carom ball ignited in the commentary box. Guha and former Australian wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist, who’s was also a part of the panel, listened keenly as their fellow commentator talked about the art of bowling carom balls.

For the unversed, carom ball is a variation which modern-day spinners use to fox batters, especially in T20 cricket. Speaking of the same, Guha and Gilchrist’s fellow commentator recalled how a coach picked bowlers with the longest middle-finger as the potential candidate to bowl carom balls. While it looked a regular elaboration, Guha’s reply became a sensation.

Isa Guha reacted to the viral video

“Spin bowling coaching clinics where the head coach has said, y’all know… You just show me your bowling hand. The guy or kid with longest middle finger was identified as a potential carrom-bowler,” had said the commentator after which Guha asked: “How big is yours?”. While the former England international may have referred to the finger, her response was interpreted in a different manner. Even Gilchrist couldn’t hold his laughter.

As the video went viral, Guha also gave her reaction on Twitter. Guha’s reaction came after England women’s team player Alex Hartley shared the video with caption: “A reasonable question from @isaguha.” In reply, the 36-year-old wrote: “Valid – for carrom ball purposes only…”

Meanwhile, the ongoing edition of the Big Bash League (BBL) has witnessed some exciting action over the 22 yards. Defending champions Sydney Sixers, Perth Scorchers and Melbourne Stars have made a terrific start to their campaign and would like to continue their sensational run. Notably, the Sixers have won the title three times and many are backing them to get the fourth trophy this year.

Speaking of the other teams, Melbourne Renegades, Sydney Thunder and Brisbane Heat have made a dismal start to the season, having won just one of their first three games. Notably, five of the eight teams will advance to the next stage. Hence, all teams must buckle up before it’s too late.
