Chennai Super Kings just saw the face of victory in their last match against SRH after going through a tough phase in IPL 2020. They won the contest by 20 runs after defending their 167 runs total in Dubai. The game saw some controversies like skipper MS Dhoni was targeted on social media after people felt that he forced the umpire to change his decision. It was felt that the umpire was all set to give a ‘wide’ ball, but Dhoni’s furious face turned him down.

Another event that drew a lot of attention in the game was pacer Khaleel Ahmed’s reaction. Ahmed was seen smiling and also covered his face with his hand after he knocked out all-rounder DJ Bravo on the latter’s very first ball of IPL 2020. Bravo got the chance to show up with a bat for the first time against SRH in the last match but had to go on a golden duck.

He was also slammed by social media users as his actions felt like he is trying to disrespect DJ Bravo. However, in the latest turn of events, he has come with a statement on his Twitter handle and made clear that he was not laughing at Bravo. He came up with a polite statement to say that he has huge respect for the Caribbean star and he is like his elder brother. He wrote, “I wasn’t laughing on DJ Bravo, there was some other reason, he is a true legend, he is a big brother to me #CSKvsSRH.”

Talking about the same match, Khaleel acquired figures of 2/45 in his span of four overs. Ravindra Jadeja was named as the player of the match for his all-round contribution for the men in yellow. After winning the match, CSK moved to sixth position on the points table while SRH maintained its 5th position on the tally.

CSK will next meet table-toppers Delhi Capitals on Saturday. The three-time champions struggled in their efforts to get going smoothly in the season, and their chances of making to the playoffs seemed slim. However, with their recent victory, something good can be expected on the way.
