Former India cricketer MS Dhoni is at the fag end of his illustrious cricket career. Most probably, IPL 2022 could be the last time he takes the field as a player. He retired from international cricket on August 15, 2020 and is also set to don a mentor’s hat for team India in the upcoming T20 World Cup in the UAE. But is Dhoni planning to make his Bollywood debut after hanging up his boots entirely from cricket?

Well, the man himself has clearly denied any such possibility. He believes that acting isn’t an easy skill and it should be done by the professionals in the field only. MS Dhoni has also stated that he will stick to cricket during his post-retirement and is not even thinking of trying his hand out on the big screen.

Having said that, the 40-year-old is still a popular face when it comes to ads and has said that he is good at featuring in them only. “You know Bollywood is not really my cup of tea. As far as advertisements are concerned, I am happy to do them. When it comes to movies, I feel it’s a very tough profession and very difficult to manage.

“I would let the film stars do it because they are really good at it. I will stick to cricket. The closest I can come to acting is advertisements and nothing more than that,” MS Dhoni said according to India Today.

MS Dhoni led CSK seeking a place in top two in IPL 2021

MS Dhoni is currently leading the Chennai Super Kings in the ongoing IPL season in the UAE. The Men in Yellow have already made it to the playoffs with nine wins in 13 matches. They are currently at the second position in the points table and will have to win their last game against Punjab Kings (PBKS) to seal their place in the top two in order to get two chances to make it to the final.
