After having a good outing against Australia, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has retained his top spot in the latest ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings for batting. Similarly, opening batter Imam-ul-Haq has also made a big jump to reach the No. 3 spot.

Both Babar and Imam had an excellent ODI series against Australia. While Babar scored 276 runs in three matches at an average 138, Imam was the highest run-getter of the series, scoring 298 runs in three matches at a stellar average of 149.

Australia skipper Aaron Finch, who did not get going during the ODI series, slipped to three spots to No.10. Left-handed batter Travis Head, who performed excellently after getting the opportunity to open innings for Australia, jumped five spots to No.34.

New Zealand batter Tom Latham moves up

The Kiwi batter Tom Latham after playing an unbeaten 140-run knock against the Netherlands in the second ODI has also moved up three spots to reach No. 25 in the ODI rankings. Meanwhile, veteran batter Ross Taylor, who played his last international match against the Netherland on April 4 (Monday), slipped three spots to No.6.

In the bowling charts, excellent bowling display from Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi against Australia has helped him to make a huge jump as the left-arm pacer made it into the top 10. He gained eight spots and now stands at No.7 on the list, which is topped by the Kiwi pacer Trent Boult.

After not performing well during the ODI series against Pakistan, Australian spinner Adam Zampa has slipped five spots and now stands outside the top 10 at No.14. Netherlands’ left-arm pacer Fred Klaassen managed to scalp some crucial wickets for his team during their limited-over series against New Zealand, helping him jump 23 spots to No.55. Meanwhile, New Zealand spinner Ish Sodhi, who performed well against Netherlands, has also climbed five spots to No.37.
