The official Twitter account of International Cricket Council (ICC) seems to have been hacked as it retweeted a video related to Indian Politics on Wednesday. The world cricketing body is supposed to post the updates only related to cricket and the social media was shocked to see such an update from them. While there are already many who believe that ICC is being run by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the favourism they get always. However, with this post, they are once again getting hilariously trolled as well.

The Twitter handle of ICC often keeps its fans updated with the latest news and recently announced the fixtures of the upcoming World Cup in 2019 in England. They are being followed by many and this blunder from them is unacceptable as many are making fun of them now.

Twitter trolls ICC

The video which ICC retweeted was related to some of the old memories between the current Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and Asaram Bapu who is currently in jail for his wrongdoings. It was a fun video but there was nothing related to cricket for the World cricketing body to tweet and hence Twitterati assumed that their account might have been hacked by someone. Though they deleted the tweet after some time, the blunder had happened already whose notice was taken by the social media.

While many felt that the account was hacked, many trolled them for taking interest in the Indian politics. It is possible that the person handling the Twitter account might have forgotten to switch his accounts but surely such a mistake is not acceptable which was pointed out by one of the Twitter users. He felt that someone was going to lose the job for the mistake committed as ICC will have to clarify now over the tweet which they did.
