Preview for Dream11 Fantasy

The caravan of the 2020 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup rolls on and the 7th game will see a beleaguered English unit when they take on Thailand Women at the Manuka Oval in the Australian capital city of Canberra.

England- the 2018 runners-up- will be looking to get their campaign back on track after they fell to a humbling defeat at the hands of South Africa Women. The English never really had enough runs on the board as none of their batters barring Nat Sciver [50] and Amy Jones [23] could post any substantial score.

One of the things that will be worth watching is if Tammy Beaumont is persisted lower down the order or whether she gets a promotion at the top of the order as England aims to find solutions to their top-order woes.

Thailand Women, on the other hand, will look at it as another opportunity to showcase their precocious skills at the World stage. They lost their opening game to the West Indies by seven wickets but that has done little to dampen their spirits. Whether they manage to get past the 100-run mark; something their skipper had wished for after the last match? We’ll wait and see.

Top Picks

England Women- England will hope that the likes of Dani Wyatt [470 runs], Amy Jones [421]- since the start of January 2019, get back in some form after lackluster performances in the tri-series and in the first game against South Africa.

Skipper Heather Knight has been in brilliant form in the past few months and she’ll be looking to shrug off the blip of the last game while Nat Sciver, who scored a half-century in the last game will be hoping for an encore.

As far as bowling is concerned, Sophie Ecclestone [2-19] and Anya Shrubsole [1-26] were the pick of the bowlers in the last game.

Thailand WomenNannapat Koncharoenkai [33 off 48 balls] and Naruemol Chaiwai [13 off 25 balls] were the only ones who could manage double-digit scores in the last game.

Nattaya Boochatham [0-9 in 3.4 overs] was brilliant with the new ball in the last game and with England openers struggling for runs, she could turn out to be the spearhead of the Thai bowling attack.

Expert Advice

Sophie Ecclestone has been in brilliant form in the past few months and courtesy her accurate line-and-length, she could turn out to be the wrecker-in-chief against the inexperienced Thai batting.

Heather Knight has racked up scores of 78 and 67 at the Manuka Oval in Canberra in the T20I tri-series. She can be another great option.

Danielle Wyatt has been in indifferent form since the T20I tri-series. But she is too good a player to miss out consistently. Hence, opting for her in your fantasy team is worth a punt.

Probable Winners

England Women is expected to come out as the winners.
