Match Details:

The 10th match of the 2019 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier between Namibia Women and Netherlands Women will be hosted by the Lochlands in Arbroath.

The match starts at 10:00 AM local time (9:00 AM GMT) (2:30 PM IST).

Preview:

Hopes of a spot in the next year’s T20 World Cup have come to an end for Namibia Women and Netherlands Women who suffered defeats in their first two matches. As a result, the Thailand and Ireland teams made it to the semi-final from their Group B. Namibia and Netherlands will face off each other in the last group match before they join the playoff semis for 5th to 8th ranked teams.

Namibia had their moments in the tournament especially in the last match against Thailand. They got the opposition six down for 35 by let the Thailand Women recover and clinch a 38-run win. On the other hand, the Netherlands created a scare to Ireland during their 121-run chase. Sterre Kalis top-scored with a 46-run knock but the Dutch Women lost by 19 runs having scored only 24 from the last 40 deliveries.

Weather Condition/Report:

There was quite a lot of rain on Monday at the Lochlands. However, the weather forecast for Tuesday is clear and no rain is expected from morning. However, overnight rain might delay the scheduled start of play and couple reduce a couple of overs.

Pitch Condition/Report:

The Lochlands seems to be a perfect venue for chasing. Each of the last three games here has been won by the chasing teams. However, all three matches had scores below 110 by batting first teams. There is also a hit of momentum for the pacers with the new ball.
