Considering the format of the World Cup 2019, more the number of games a team wins in the early parts of the tournament, the better they are placed during the later stages. South Africa will clearly understand this fact and they need to catch up soon after they were hard done in the last game against England. The team will be back on the field within a matter of time as they face Bangladesh next up.
Against the seventh-ranked team in ODI cricket, the Proteas will look to claw back the lost momentum. However, they’ve got their task cut out as the opposition has been playing some great cricket in recent times. Despite the heavy loss against India in the warm-up, Bangladesh will still be a confident unit, for, the team has the fourth best win-loss ratio in the last 12 months amongst all the teams taking part in the tournament. They have particularly done well in the games which they played away from home which is a huge confidence booster.
Here we bring you the Dream11 Fantasy team based on the stats of the players:
There are three options available in the wicket-keeper’s category that you can pick from. Going by the stats, Quinton de Kock is a must in your team. He’s had a great run in the last few weeks and scored more runs than any other player in the last 5 ODIs. Thus, it wouldn’t be a bad choice if you even pick him as the captain of your team. You can also choose Mushfiqur Rahim as he is another player in this category whose numbers are quite good.
Picking your batsmen based upon the stats for this eleven is quite an easy task. Soumya Sarkar has had a great run and scored 215 runs in the last five ODIs. Thus, he can be the vice-captain of your side. The other Bangladesh player you can pick is Tamim Iqbal who has 176 runs to his name. While there is no official update yet if he’d play, he is cleared of the wrist fracture and is likely to take the field. From South Africa, you need not look beyond Faf du Plessis and Rassie van der Dussen to pick in your team.
There are seven all-rounders you can choose from. But Andile Phehlukwayo could be your best bet if you go by the statistics. He scored 64 runs and picked up 4 wickets in the last 5 ODIs. His strike rate also has been quite good. While you might want to pick another all-rounder here, it is better to go for an extra bowler as they have dominated thus far in the tournament.
It would be better to pick two bowlers each from Bangladesh and South Africa in the Dream11 Fantasy team. From Bangladesh, Rubel Hossain and Mustafizur Rahman are most likely to play the match. Furthermore, they are backed up by good figures in the last five ODI matches. From South Africa, Imran Tahir is a must in your team. It is quite a dicey situation to pick one between Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi. Since he has more wickets to his tally, Rabada could be preferred.
