With Virat Kohli and co all ready to settle scores against the Three Lions, the England tour is certainly going to turn up the heat when the teams lock horns this summer. The honeymoon phase is well over for the India cricket team as they prep themselves up for the upcoming challenge.

While the Indian team seems to be brimming with confidence coming on the back off recent success, Virat Kohli’s men will face an uphill task given their poor record in the country. The Men in Blue would be praying to end their jinx in England and would hope for an improved performance this year.

The last time the tricolour won a Test series in England was in 2007, before that in 1986 and prior to that in 1971, which was their maiden victory. This clearly implies that a series win is overdue. And having been absolutely decimated in the last two tours 3-1 (2014) and 4-0 (2011), the Indians will be aiming to all guns blazing in an attempt to silence the critics for good.

In addition to this, the Indians will be without the services of off-spinner Washington Sundar who sustained an injury in Ireland whilst playing football during the mandatory practice session. He has been replaced by Krunal Pandya and Axar Patel in the T20I and ODI squad respectively.
