Team India has put up an admirable fight on the fifth day of the ongoing Sydney Test against Australia. If it was Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant for the first half of the day, Ravi Ashwin and Hanuma Vihari took over the mantle in order to draw the Test match. Rather when Pant and Pujara were batting, it seemed as if India were going for a win.

But once Pujara was castled, Ashwin and Vihari dropped anchor to shut the shop and started to play for a draw. Moreover, India were in more trouble when the latter pulled his hamstring and was unable to run. But both the batsmen fought hard to keep Australia at bay and visibly they were frustrated.

The moment when Tim Paine lost his cool

During the fighting partnership, the home side peppered the batsmen, especially Ravi Ashwin with short balls which he took on his chest bravely. The blows left him tentative as well and a couple of times, Ashwin pulled the ball in the air too. But he was lucky on those occasions. During that period, in the middle of the over, Vihari removed his chest guard and wanted it to give to his partner who was taking the blows on his body.

But Tim Paine got annoyed and yelled at Ashwin and it seemed as if the Aussie captain was saying the batsmen were wasting the time deliberately. “It’s ridiculous. Get on with it. Seriously,” Paine yelled at the Indian batsmen when Ravi Ashwin was on strike. This has certainly not gone down well with the Indian batsmen as they lashed out at the Australian skipper for yelling at the batsman unnecessarily.

The fans were also not pleased with Steve Smith who removed Rishabh Pant’s guard at the batting crease during the drinks break earlier in the day. The video of him shadow batting in the middle while also removing batsman’s guard went viral on social media and the fans were clearly annoyed by it.
