Team India has progressed to the knockout stages of Champions Trophy 2017 after beating South Africa by a big margin. They will now take on Bangladesh on Thursday at Edgbaston, Birmingham. The high-flying Men in Blue camp was invited by the Indian High Commissioner in London on Monday for a dinner. Accordingly, they were seen at the event.

Out went the blue jerseys. The handsome and fearsome players sported black coats. The 28-year-old skipper of the current Indian team, Virat Kohli was seen giving a brief speech at the event. The photo sessions followed next. India’s favourite players are very much photo friendly and offered different poses, as the camera persons went click-click.

After the event, India’s destructive opener and the leading run scorer of Champions Trophy 2017 Shikhar Dhawan uploaded a picture on social media website Instagram.

Men in Black

He was seen sporting black shades and posing with his partner in crime Rohit Sharma, India’s death over specialist Jasprit Bumrah and middle order batsman Ajinkya Rahane. The caption of the picture read “Had great time at high commission function. Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane ??????.” Ajinkya Rahane also uploaded a picture on the same social media website. But he decided to break out from the chain.

Had great time at high commission function. @rohitsharma45 @ajinkyarahane ??????

Ajinkya Rahane also posted an image. His picture was a solo one with only the batsman occupying the entire frame. The picture itself has so much grandeur in it that Rahane felt that no caption could have justified it. Former Indian spinner and current head coach Anil Kumble was also seen at the event.

Guess who was the photo bomber in his picture? The current Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni posed for a picture with Ravindra Jadeja.

All-rounder Yuvraj Singh was seen sporting his own style and attitude which he possesses. His aura is clearly visible in the picture where he is shaking hands with the High Commissioner. So three days before the team takes on Bangladesh on Thursday, it was a day well spent.

The official page of the Indian Cricket Team also posted images from the dinner on Facebook.
