Preview

Bangalore and Rajasthan will face each other at the Wankhede Stadium on April 22. The two teams have had contrasting fortunes so far in the competition. Bangalore have played three matches so far, winning all of them. They have beaten Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata in the first three matches of this tournament.

Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan side, on the other hand, have won only one match so far in this tournament. They lost their last match at this venue against Chennai. They will be lacking confidence, having lost some of their key players to injury.

Virat Kohli’s team will be the favourites to win this match and with their batting being strong, they will surely be ready to reap the rewards. There will be a different challenge for their bowling unit in this match, and they could make some changes to their team.

Captaincy picks for BLR vs RAJ

Glenn Maxwell (Bangalore)

The Australian all-rounder has found a good home at the Bangalore franchise. He is coming into this match with two fifties on his back. In the previous match, he scored 78 runs against Kolkata. On a batting-friendly wicket in Mumbai, he would enjoy his batting even more. He also bowled a few overs in the previous match, which makes him a good prospect.

Jos Buttler (Rajasthan)

Jos Buttler made a substantial 49 run knock in the previous match but yet failed to get his side over the line. He must be gutted having lost his wicket after batting so well. His promotion to open the batting could be a great decision for him. Buttler is likely to enjoy batting on this surface, as he did in the previous match.
