Inside Edge: 5 things to watch out for in season 3

The wait is finally over as the trailer of Inside Edge 3 is out. The previous two seasons of the web series, which aired of Amazon Prime Video, showed the dark side of the cricket world like match-fixing, doping, betting, and many such controversial things. However, the series had a fascinating storyline that bagged a lot of praises from fans as well as critics.

While the previous two seasons revolved around an India-based T20 competition, the Powerplay League, the makers have gone international this time. In fact, a Test series between India and Pakistan will also be on display. Hence, it would be interesting to see how the 10 episodes pan out. For the unversed, fans can stream the highly-anticipated web series from December 3 on Amazon Prime Video.

Speaking of the trailer, Vikrant Dhawan, played by Vivek Oberoi is planning to take ‘badla‘ from Yashvardhan Patil (Aamir Bashir), the president of the Indian Cricket Board. Vayu Raghavan and Zarina Malik, played by Tanuj Virwani and Richa Chadda respectively, have also made their intentions clear in the 3:05 minute trailer. Hence, fans must mark their calendars.

Will Zarina Mailk become the Indian Cricket Board President?

As mentioned above, Zarina Malik, played by Richa Chadda, had mentioned what she aspires. It’s the throne of the Indian Cricket Board (ICB) President. For the unversed, Zarina was betrayed by the current ICB President, Yashvardhan Patil, at the fag end of the season 2.

Yashvardhan, who is also known as Bhaisahab in the series, had panned the blame on Zarina and her own daughter Mantra to save himself from repercussions after the public came to know that there are match-fixers among the board officials. This led to Zarina and Mantra going behind the bars.

Devastated by Yashvardhan’s betrayal, Zarina, who was also the ICB boss’ love interest, joined forces with her former foe Vikrant Dhawan, played by Vivek Oberoi to get her revenge. Meanwhile, this trailer showcased Zarina expressing her desire to displace Yashvardhan as ICB President. As Vikrant is on her side now, it would be interesting to see whether her goal accomplishes or not.
